Paperchain is located in the lovely conservation area of London Colney (near St Albans), Hertfordshire with its traditional village sense of community. Based at St Peter’s Parish Centre, Riverside, London Colney, Paperchain has been open to local families for over 5 years. Our curriculum is staged appropriate and in line with the Governments framework—EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) for ages 0 - 5 years. We understand that all children are individuals and no matter how young they are they will come with a certain amount of knowledge and understanding. Our aim is to build upon this and encourage them to grow and develop in an environment that they enjoy and stimulate them to learn. The pre-school years are an important time for a child’s learning and one in which they learn rapidly, our aim at Paperchain is to ensure that all our children:- · Develop independence - using resources and making choices in a safe, secure and stimulating environment · Learn to play within rules and with other children · Building confidence and helping the children progress towards fulfilling their potential and equip them in their developmental journey for the next educational stage. Whatever stage your child is at when they join us, our planning and activities will be designed to meet their needs. We offer:- · A specially tailored curriculum · Individual care and attention · Fun and Friendships with children and other adults · The support of a Personal Key-Worker Paperchain is also pleased to announce that we will be beginning the reaccreditation process for the ‘Herts Quality Standard’ Award (the Blue Balloon). This award shows:- · The setting provides a high quality service and environment that exceeds Ofsted requirements. · Our Staff understand the importance of building Positive Relationships with you. the parent/carer. · The setting is a secure and safe environment for young children to develop and grow.
